What is Trash Fashion?

Ever see an outfit and be like I want that! Then when you look at the price tag your like "No thank you". Well I have discovered something in the past few months that I like to call "Trash Fashion" Now I know probably a hundred others already call it that, but lets say I made it up. (;

For those of you who have no idea what "Trash Fashion" is let me tell you what I mean when I say it. "Trash Fashion" is taking normal inexpensive stuff and altering them to become what you think is fashionable. They key with this is you have to own it. If you feel uncomfortable walking through school in that t shirt scarf you made last night. Well let me tell you something, no ones gonna like it. But if you love it and you walk around like you know your pulling it off, let me tell you something, your pulling it off!

This was my first attempt at "Trash Fashion" and it only cost me 37 cents. What i did was I went to the Wal Mart scrap bin in the fabric aisle and looked through all the designs. I found one that I liked bought it, and brought it home to cut it into a rectangle to form a tied headband. Now the fabric in the scrap bin is usually anyware from 17 cents to $ 2.34, it depends n the fabric. But what most people spend $4 sometimes $5 on I bought it for less than a dollar and was able to buy 6 of the headbands for the same price.

This was my second attempt at "Trash Fashion" anf I like to call it TShirt Scarf because thats exactly what it is. To create this beautiful masterpiece, its actually very simple. First you take any old t shirt you are fine with cutting up. Next you cut off the bottom part of the shirt. From there you make straight cuts up the shirt. After your finished with that, you pull on each string and ta duh you have a t shirt scarf!

Have any ideas for me to try out then blog about? Leave a comment and I will try to do so sometime in the next month.

Have a lovely October month.
